Bill Higgins was called Whiggins by the students because that is the way that he signed his name (W for William, Higgins). It was said that he was the heir to the Mother Parker's Coffee Company. This pic is slightly blurry, but I snapped it while looking through the classroom door. I didn't know him well as a teacher, and didn't know how he would take to being candidly photographed.
