Pat O'Brien in the Classroom

A young, bearded Pat O'Brien presides over the classroom. This was before he moved off to London Ontario, and became a member of Parliament. The notation on the blackboard is mathematics, but Pat taught English History (thanks). It must have been left over from a math class in the same room.

Running

In the intervening years, I can't remember who this is, or why I popped this frame at Track & Field day at OCHS. Obviously the blur from the running motion doesn't help with the identification of this person, but if you recognize this student, please leave a comment.

Drinking

This image appeared in a yearbook one year. I have the negative, but I do not have a clue as to where the picture was taken, or who it is. Comments appreciated.

Montage - Frank Sachetti and Herbert Gentry

I am not sure why I created the photo montage above. I think that it might have been for a staff montage for possible yearbook inclusion. Above on the right is nattily dressed Frank Sachetti reading the bulletin board and on left is music teacher Herbert Gentry on stage doing a comedy skit.

Below is a horribly under-exposed picture of Frank Sachetti. Someone wrote "OUR PHYSICS TEACHER" on the blackboard for this photo.

Linda Kawecki participates in track and field day at OCHS. From the picture, I cannot tell whether it is shot put, discus, or javelin, but it appears to be one of those sports.

Graduation 1973, Oshawa Times Clipping

Above is the Oshawa Times clipping of the 1973 OCHS graduation. The caption reads: "The Oshawa Catholic High School, Stevenson Rd. N., recently held their graduation exercises where 76 students who graduated in June were participants of the ceremony. Terry Hughes was valedictorian. Diplomas were issued to scholars receiving 70 and 80 percent during the school year, as well as those students who were involved during the year with school activities. The Col. Sam McLaughlin monetary award was divided amongst 10 students who averaged 80 percent for the year".

Female Student at Fashion Show??

I need help identifying this student. I remember her well from school, it's just that I can't think of the name. I think that this was part of the fashion show, but can't be sure. Help me by leaving a comment.

Sister Theresa Rodgers on a Winter Day

By the time I had reached Grade 12, the school had grown and needed portable classrooms. This was one of them. Sister Theresa Rodgers taught Accounting and in this pic, she arrives from the wintery outdoors to teach the class.

Spectating

I am glad that I took a lot of crowd shots back in the day. They give a record of the spectrum of students. The identifiable faces in this shot include Mike Taras, Sue Mamelka, Marilyn MacAvoy, Wayne Stovell, Bob Gibbs, Andy Tass, Joanne Bond and Chris Montgomery.
