Various Teachers ~1970's
Here's a bunch of teacher pics
Anna Catalano was my math teacher in Grade 10, I think. She is pictured above at her desk.
In the above pic, Miss Catalano helps a student in math class.
Miss Holland (center) was my Grade 9 math teacher. Here she is speaking to Dan Dalby (center left). Mike Fairhart is behind Dan Dalby.

Card Playing
In all of my negatives, I am amazed at how many shots that I have of students playing cards throughout my high school years. It seems that cards were the timewasters instead of the internet now. I recognize some of the people in this pic, because there is another one in the same sequence. People that I can identify include Sharon Clark, Dan Dalby and Mary Coll. It must have been near Christmas time or holiday time when much wasn't going on in the scholastics department. The clock on the wall says that it is seven minutes after ten in the morning.

Dan Dalby and Yours Truly
Blair Morris taught Urban Studies. One chapter was on dying downtown areas. Another was on traffic patterns. One day, it was a cold winter day, the entire class had to go downtown and count traffic. We had various positions around the city. Dan Dalby and yours truly got the location of the old Canadian Tire, near the automotive museum on Simcoe Street South, opposite the McLaughlin Bandshell and Memorial Park.It was boring. It was cold. The only thing that I remember was that what we did with the traffic figures was mildly interesting. Collecting the data wasn't.
Dan was cool. I was a total nerd, dressed in a suit, a trench coat and a tie. I make up for it these days though in the tropics. I go to Board of Directors meetings in sandals, shorts and a cotton yoga shirt.
(If one word characterises the 1970's -- it is HAIR !!)
