Kathy Seaver - Snow Queen

I fired this sequence of frames at the Winter Carnival dance where Kathy Seaver (who is a cousin to me by marriage) was crowned Snow Queen.

Grade 9 Girls Basketball 1973

Pictured above is Grade 9 girls basketball in 1973. The coaches are Kathy Seaver on the left and Carolyn Corrigan on the right. In between is a bunch of minor niners. I'm sure that someone will be along to fill in the names. .... please ...

Siblings

There were many many sets of siblings attending OCHS, my family included. Pictured above is Kathy Seaver, and below is her older brother Tony Seaver.

In Grade 13 Physics Class

End of the year in physics class. Tim McKenna is showing Kathy Seaver how to operate a 35mm camera. Kathy Seaver

I can still vividly remember taking this photo. Kathy Seaver was in the hallway near the gym talking to Elizabeth Deveaux. I was walking with Henry Kowalewski and I snapped this photo. Then Kathy bounced down the hall with her usual spirit. Henry turned to me and said "She reminds me of a bobby soxer from the 1950's". It was her joie-de-vivre.

This is Kathy Seaver at the dais onstage. Kathy was a member of the Student Council and Snow Queen. If I were to choose one word to describe her, it would be Spirit.

Snow Queen

I used to call her "Cuz" because somewhere we were vaguely related through marriage. This is Kathy Seaver winning the title of Snow Queen. I believe that the MC dude is Jim Lamb, but I am not certain. I am certain now, thanks to a reader.

Girls Flag Football

This negative was badly damaged in storage. The girls got together a game of flag football on a dull overcast November day.
