KAWECKI, Linda Diane - 60, died peacefully on September 27, 2012 at St. Mary's of the Lake in Kingston. She will be deeply missed by her sister, Lois Kane (Bruce) and her nephew, John; her brother, Russ, and her sister-in-law, Debbie. She will also be dearly missed by her “Kingston family“ including Nina, Allison, Julie, other loving friends, workmates, and those at Kingsdale Chateau. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Eleanor and John. Linda, a vibrant and witty woman, delighted in agility training with her many dogs, including Lexi. She also loved travelling and explored many countries, ranging Hawaii to Switzerland. She especially enjoyed trips to England to spend time with her dear friends, Stephanie and Madeline on the Brighton seashore. As a member of the court support team at Frontenac Community Mental Health Services, Linda was a committed and compassionate advocate for her clients. Linda faced her battle with cancer with courage, dignity and, often, humour. Even while coming to terms with the end of her life, she repeatedly expressed concern for those caring for her. Family and friends are grateful to the staff at the Kingston General Hospital, St. Mary's of the Lake, and Hospice Kingston for their immense kindness and compassion.
